Carpark and road upgrades

Works to construct a new carpark and access road at The Gap and Natural Bridge, as part of the second phase of the State Government’s $3.3 million Gap Improvement Project, will be underway from Monday 1 September.

To ensure visitor safety during construction, the Gap and Natural Bridge, Cable Beach car park and Cable Beach Lighthouse will be closed to the public from 5pm on Sunday 31 August.

DBCA is working hard with our contractors to have the works complete by peak visitor season later this year. During construction, the Blowholes, Sharp Point, Jimmy Newells and Salmon Holes will remain open.
