Places to visit in WA parks

Wanneroo Reef, north-west of Hillarys Boat Harbour, consists of a main reef about 90m long, with two coral lumps at the northern end.

Draper's Gorge cuts deep into the range and features a series of seasonal waterfalls and small rock pools along its length.

Park the car and explore the lake on walk trails and shared paths that wind through open grassed areas and scattered mature trees.

Beautiful panoramic views over the town of Kalbarri, the mouth of the Murchison River and inland across the park can be appreciated from this excellent vantage point.

There are large and graceful river gums along a boulder strewn gully and impressive views from Edney's Lookout.

Permanent water in the tree-lined Lyons River attracts a diversity of wildlife including water birds.

A natural basin used by drovers from the early 1900’s for holding cattle.

A cross section of rock is exposed, revealing the five evolutionary periods of the park and providing visual evidence of how the surrounding landscape was formed.

This pretty dam was once the water supply for the Shannon Mill and town. A great spot for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, cycling and bush walking.
