Big Brook Dam

We recognise and acknowledge Bibulmun/Piblemen people as the Traditional Owners of Big Brook State Forest.

Site access

A network of paved and natural surface paths link the parking areas with the picnic shelters and toilet, and down through the main picnic area providing views of the lake and the beach and the surrounding forest. Some of these access paths have steps, but there is one longer paved path with no steps and a gentle gradient that is well suited to wheelchair users and people with prams and bikes.

The picnic area has a grassy lawn surface and has several more picnic benches in addition to the ones under the shelters. The beach adjoining the picnic area has firm sand.

The paths to the picnic area also connect with the Big Brook Dam Walk Trail, a 4.5km circuit around the lake that is paved all the way with one wooden bridge and no steps.

Toilets

Toilets are available.
