Lesmurdie Falls Picnic Area

We recognise and acknowledge Whadjuk people as the Traditional Owners of Mundy Regional Park.

Site access

From the main parking area, both a ramp and a small flight of steps lead down to a picnic bench and a path to the toilets. Assistance may be required for wheelchair users due to the gradient of the ramp. The ramp and the path to the toilet has a hand rail.

The path from the parking area to the toilet has no steps. One of the picnic benches is accessible without any steps, but the others have a few steps down to them. The picnic benches are on concrete blocks that are slightly raised and not fully level with the paths leading up to them.

From the picnic area, there is a mostly level path alongside Lesmurdie Brook but there are a few steps before reaching the lookouts that provide views over the waterfall and of the Swan Coastal Plain. After the first lookout the path becomes steeper with more steps, with a natural surface.

Parking

The main Lesmurdie Falls parking area has a bitumen surface and marked parking bays. 4 of the parking bays (closest to the path and ramp down to picnic tables and toilet) are larger wheelchair accessible bays.

There are two other parking areas about 300m away along Falls Road (Weir Carpark and Terraces Car Park) that have a gravel surface and no marked bays.

Toilets

Toilets are available.
  • Wheelchair accessible

There is a toilet block close to the parking area. Access is via a sloping concrete ramp. There is a metal side hand rail.
