About this place
Hardcore bushwalkers will enjoy this Grade 4, difficult 12.5km return, 6-8 hour long hike over Isthmus Hill to Flinders Peninsula that requires a high level of fitness, experience and preparation.
The track is long and parts are rough. The terrain is steep and difficult in sections - do not attempt to return via the beaches due to unseen hazards. Make sure you bring sufficient water and food and come prepared for changing weather conditions.
This difficult trail goes through Limestone Head and ends at Bald Head, a round headland of domed granite, sloping down into the ocean which can be seen from many places along the Torndirrup Coast.
Fishing is permitted at Bald Head, the eastern extremity of the park.
