About this place

Experience Lake Cave on a one-hour guided tour. Your guide will highlight the stunning lake and natural cave formations, including white calcite straws, shawls, stalactites and stalagmites. A prominent feature is the rare 'suspended table', a large flat area of flowstone hovering above the lake, supported by two large columns.

A series of stairways descend through a large doline (a collapsed cave) with huge karri trees growing from its depths. A moderate level of fitness is required to climb the stairs after your visit, however platforms along the way provide opportunities for breaks.

At the gift shop you can walk through a model of a cave featuring a flowing stream. Signage explores a variety of topics about the culture, history and natural formations of the cave, and an accessible boardwalk leads to a viewing platform where visitors can glimpse into the depths of the doline.

For opening hours and entry fees visit the Capes Foundation.
