About this place

Enjoy a picnic in serene surroundings at the historic Monastery Landing. Canoe hire is available at Nornalup and you can launch your vessel at the boat ramp by the bridge.

Picnic tables are provided so pack a snack to enjoy the stillness and serenity that surrounds you.

Check with the Visitor Centre in Walpole about a taking a cruise through the inlet and up to Monastery Landing with a local guide.

Safety information

Plan when to visit. Consider travelling with a personal location beacon (PLB). In the event you need to be rescued it could save your life!

Western Shield - The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions undertakes 1080 baiting at this location to reduce the impacts of feral cats and foxes on native wildlife. 

Meat baits containing 1080 poison are laid in or around this area on an ongoing basis. 1080 is poisonous to humans and will kill domestic cats and dogs. Pets are not permitted in this park.

Getting there

Access is by road or via the Frankland River in a canoe or small boat. Be aware though that the access road to Monastery Landing is seasonally closed in the wetter months.

Park boundaries are approximations only and should not be used for navigation or orientation purposes.
