About this place

At Riverbend a dramatic cliff face carved by the Irwin River displays a cross section of rock, revealing five evolutionary periods of the park’s geological history and providing visual evidence of how the surrounding landscape was formed.

Riverbend is a place where visitors can explore the park’s geology, or simply enjoy a picnic while appreciating the colourful wildflower displays in spring. Informative signs interpret the area’s geology, flora and fauna
