About this campground
Stans Camp is a small campground adjacent to the Pelican Sanctuary Zone of Ningaloo Marine Park). The shoreline is a special purpose zone where shore-based fishing is permitted.
Open for peak season only.
Booking
Bookings are essential and can be made up to 180 days (approximately six months) before arrival and for one campsite only. The maximum stay in any park is 14 nights if any night is during Western Australia public school holidays, 28 nights at any other time.
On 20 April 2023, a Total Solar Eclipse will track over the Ningaloo region near Exmouth. Campgrounds in Cape Range National Park and Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves will have front row seats.
As the demand on camping in the parks will be strong, bookings for campsites are being managed differently.
At 10am, 1 November 2022 bookings will open for campgrounds in Cape Range National Park and Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves for 17- 22 April 2023.

If you are an outdoor education provider, licensed commercial tour operator or are organising an event (friends, family and other social groups camping together does not constitute an event), contact Parks and Wildlife Service Exmouth District Office to discuss your requirements.
Campsites
Fourteen compacted gravel campsites.
All campsites are unpowered.

Facilities
This campground has no facilities.
A portable toilet dump point is located approximately 4km away.
Campground Rules
Campfires when conditions permit and in campers’ own portable, self-contained fire rings only. Usual permitted season: April - October.
Bring your own firewood. Check current restrictions on the movement of wood, including firewood. Collecting firewood and kindling is not permitted in national parks and other conservation reserves.
Dogs are permitted. They must be controlled on a leash at all times.
Generator use is permitted.
No toilets provided. Bring and use a portable, self-contained toilet that is approved for use in Australia and can be emptied into a dump point. Use the dump point 4km away or carry waste out of the park for disposal in an authorised dump point.
Carry all waste out of the park. No bins provided.
Private, unlicensed all-terrain vehicles/quad bikes (ATVs) and other off-road vehicles are not permitted in Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves.
Fees
A per person camping fee applies. There is no vehicle entry fee for Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves.
Camping fee must be paid by Mastercard or VISA when booking.
No booking fee.
A fee may apply if you cancel or remove dates from a booking. Stricter conditions apply for peak periods.
Safety information
Drinking water is not provided.
No personal hygiene facilities are provided.
December to April can be extremely hot and the risk of bushfire can be very high.
November to April is tropical cyclone season.
Storms are common between May and October throughout WA.
Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves is in very remote Australia.
Ensure you have sufficient supplies (including water, food, fuel, medication and first aid), and equipment and clothing appropriate for the conditions before travelling.

Traditional Owners
We recognise and acknowledge Baiyungu, Thalanyji and Yinigurdira people as the traditional owners of Cape Range National Park and adjoining Ningaloo Marine Park. We are proud to be in joint management with the traditional owners to look after these special areas for future generations to enjoy.
