Site access

Facilities Access

A wide paved path connects with the parking area, and leads to an information shelter, the toilets with ramp access, and a picnic table underneath a shelter. There are no steps along the pathway between the parking area and these facilities.

Consicuous Cliffs Lookouts Access

The path from the parking area continues past the sheltered picnic table to where another path branches off to the left leading to three lookouts and to the Bibbulmun Track.

The lower lookout is reached by a paved path without any steps between the parking area and the lookout viewing platform. The wooden viewing platform at the end of the path has two decks. The first deck is level with the paved path providing access for people who use mobility devices. Two steps lead down to the second deck where there is a bench seat. This lookout gives a somewhat limited view of the ocean framed by sand dunes, and a glimpse of Conspicuous Beach and the headland to the east. Conspicuous Cliffs are not visible from here.

The two upper lookouts are accessed by a combination of paved paths with some steps and a tall wooden staircase with a hand rail. These two lookouts provide spectacular views over the ocean, beach, cliffs and rocks.

Beach Access

Conspicuous beach is accessed by a wooden boardwalk with several staircases and a hand rail on one side for part of the way. This boardwalk is a continuation of the main path that leads from the parking area. There is a viewing deck directly above the beach at the end of the boardwalk before one last set of steps down onto the sand.

Parking

Parking is in unmarked compacted gravel bays. The bays are 3.5m wide and 5m long. The gravel parking area connects directly with a wide bitumen path. The path slopes gently down from the car park about 100m to the lookout.

Toilets

Toilets are available.
  • Flushable
  • Wheelchair accessible

There are male and female accessible toilets on the Conspicuous Cliffs viewing track. The toilets are a mirror image of one another.  The toilets are located about 30m from the car park, along a bitumen path with gradients up to 1:14.
