Site access
The Homestead Walk, which commences just outside the Visitor Centre, is 750m (1/2 hour) return and is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The loop walk winds through the Millstream wetlands to Jindawurrunha Pool. Here, a series of trailside interpretation panels tell the history of the wetlands and the Millstream aquifer.
While most of the trail surface is firm and compacted, there are some sections with loose gravel and mud which can become boggy when wet.
Parking
While there are no designated accessible bays, there is ample space to accommodate wheelchair users and other visitors with mobility restrictions. The terminus gravel parking area comprises a 200m long loop road with 30 vehicle bays. There are a further 5 extended (8m long) bays. The bays are demarcated by metal bollards and wheel stops.
A gravel path provides barrier free access from the parking area to the visitor centre and adjoining campground. The parking area is approximately 100m from the Homestead Visitor Centre, with access via a compacted gravel path, and a wide concrete veranda that encircles the homestead.
