About this park
Rapids Conservation Park is a peaceful native forest close to the Margaret River. Come for a bushwalk and picnic. This is a wonderfully relaxed environment. The beauty of native jarrah and marri trees will bring a happy spring to your step. In the warmer months take a refreshing dip in Canebrake Pool. Surrounded by native trees, what a delightful way to experience the natural beauty of the region.
Once you’re nice and relaxed, hang onto that feeling. Campers are welcome here at Canebrake Pool Campground, so why not pitch your tent and stay a while?
Safety information
Plan when to visit. Read this safety information about bushwalking and swimming. Consider travelling with a personal location beacon (PLB). In the event you need to be rescued it could save your life!
Western Shield - The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions undertakes 1080 baiting at this location to reduce the impacts of feral cats and foxes on native wildlife.
Meat baits containing 1080 poison are laid in or around this area on an ongoing basis. 1080 is poisonous to humans and will kill domestic cats and dogs. Pets are permitted in some recreation areas of Rapids Conservation Park but must be kept in control and on a leash at all times.
