About this place
Mount Augustus is dominated by a type of sandstone, however, there are also boulders of other rock types such as fine-grained siltstones up to 60cm in diameter derived from older pre-existing rock units. These can be observed along the trail to Goordgeela Lookout.
There is no drinking water in the park, please bring your own and take all rubbish out with you.
