About this place

Kiosk at the Dam is a hub for visitors to Wellington National Park, located close to the Wellington Dam Lookout and The Quarry picnic area, and has a large parking area.

It is a casual licensed café offering:

  • Free maps and information on the park and surrounding area.
  • Fresh food, coffee, ice creams and a casual menu to suit most tastes. Enjoy a local craft beer or wine at the Kiosk or take some away to enjoy at your campsite or home.
  • Mountain bike hire.
  • A range of basic camping supplies including bread, milk, barbecue packs, ice and firewood (for the permitted season).
  • Glamping (no fuss camping) is available. Bookings are essential.

Safety information

Plan when to visit. Consider travelling with a personal location beacon (PLB). In the event you need to be rescued it could save your life!

Western Shield - The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions undertakes 1080 baiting at this location to reduce the impacts of feral cats and foxes on native wildlife. 

Meat baits containing 1080 poison are laid in or around this area on an ongoing basis. 1080 is poisonous to humans and will kill domestic cats and dogs. Pets are not permitted in this park.

Open every day except Wednesday and Thursday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Before you go check Kiosk at the Dam Facebook for updated hours. 

Monday to Tuesday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday to Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

No park entry fee

Entry to Wellington National Park is free.

Getting there

Follow Wellington Dam Road through the park to the kiosk, a short walk from Wellington Dam.

Park boundaries are approximations only and should not be used for navigation or orientation purposes.
