About this place
Arrive at Wellington Dam and walk to nearby visitor sites The Quarry, Wellington Dam Lookout and Kiosk at the Dam or take the 9.8km Sika Trail.
The Quarry picnic area is located at the site of the 1930s and 50s construction camps, unique engineered concrete and stone picnic shelters and lookout are now recognised for their heritage values while the former dam caretakers house is now a cafe.
Painted by artist Guido Van Helten, the dam wall mural is believed to be the world's largest. The artwork is called 'Reflections' and is inspired by local stories and photos.
