Shelley Beach Campground

We recognise and acknowledge Menang people as the Traditional Owners of West Cape Howe National Park.

Shelley Beach is the most visited area in West Cape Howe National Park, and it's the only place in the park that is accessible to two-wheel drive vehicle.

About this campground

Shelley Beach is a wide sweep of beach, enclosed at either end by huge boulders. Campers can pitch a tent at Shelley Beach Campground however, it is not suitable for caravans or camper trailers. Only tents and small camper vans (without side awnings) are permitted for overnight stays.

No campfires or solid fuel appliances (including stoves, barbeques and heaters) at any time. Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared.

Bookings cannot be made.

Shelley Beach Campground is non-bookable.

Fees are charged per person, per night.

Non-bookable campgrounds operate on a first come, first served basis. Be aware that this campground may get busy, especially during weekends and holidays. Identify alternative accommodation in case there are no campsites available when you arrive.
