About this place

The South Ledge picnic area has several picnic tables, toilets and bushwalks. There are jarrah and marri trees around the picnic area and quite a few wildflowers out in spring.

The 400m return walk from South Ledge to Golden View Lookout is particularly scenic. Take a walk through the bush to a viewing platform with sweeping views of the Helena River Valley. You will also find information explaining the history of the area.

Safety information

Plan when to visit. Consider travelling with a personal location beacon (PLB). In the event you need to be rescued it could save your life!
