About this place
Whitfords Rock, just north of Wreck Rock, is easy to find, close to Hillarys Boat Harbour and is a great dive.
At the northern end of Whitfords Rock is an area of broken reef. A very long ledge lies along the reefs eastern side.
Continuing around the reef in a clockwise direction, you will discover crevices and caves lined with colourful gorgonians, ascidians, sponges and anemones.
A series of smaller lumps to the south of the reef contain prolific swim-throughs and crevices. On the western side of the reef you can explore several swim-throughs and caves that go through to holes in the middle of the reef. Marine life includes black-spotted catsharks and stingrays.
More ledges and swim-throughs can be found on the north-western end of the reef.
