Site access
The campground has approximately a dozen un-numbered campsites. They are of varying dimensions and can accommodate both tent and vehicle based campers. Although rustic in style, the campsites are ample in size and reasonably level with a firm sandy base. They are suitable for people with mobility restrictions..
The Escarpment Trail is approximately 3.4km (3 hours) return and ascends to the top of the nearby range, providing hikers with views across the surrounding rangelands and distant hills. The trail traverses loose rock and has some sections with unstable surfaces.
The Drapers Gorge Trail, which features a series of seasonal waterfalls, is a 3.6km (3.5 hours) return hike from the campground. It commences with an 800m walk along the bottom of the range to the Drapers Gorge parking area before ascending the escarpment. Hikers need to negotiate steep slopes and some sections with loose, crumbly rock.
