Sunrise View

We recognise and acknowledge Yinggarda people as the Traditional Owners of Kennedy Range National Park.

Sunrise View

Site access

The trail commences at the parking area and ends at a rock cairn on the nearby rise. There is no formally designated trailhead. Sunrise View offers panoramic views along the eastern flank of the Kennedy Range, especially at sunrise. The 300m (15 minute) return trail commences at the loop parking area and involves a short hike up to a nearby rise. Although it is a short walk, the track traverses a moderately steep, rocky slope (gradients of 15° or more in places) with some uneven footing. As such it's not suited to visitors with significant mobility restrictions.

Parking

The sandy gravel access road to Sunrise View ends in a large terminus loop. There is no formalised parking area nor designated vehicles bays. However, there is sufficient space to accommodate a dozen or more vehicles parked end-to-end, and parallel to the roadway.

Toilets
