Are you looking for a new way to experience and appreciate Western Australia's natural environment? Are you already experienced in an outdoor adventure activity and looking for new experiences? We've got plenty of options!
Opportunities range from easy hikes and sheltered, flat-water kayak paddles to hard-core rock climbs and black diamond mountain bike trails; close-to-home day trips to once-in-a-lifetime wilderness expeditions.
If you:
- are new to an activity
- want to build your skills and knowledge
- don't have access to the right equipment
- just want to find others to enjoy the activity with,
then:
- follow the advice in these pages
- find a club or the peak association
- join a commercial tour.
Whatever activity you choose and your level of experience, there is always some risk and, in a park, you'll be in a natural and possibly remote environment. It is always safest to be in a group of at least three people to share physical tasks and make use of the skills and experience of others. Importantly, if one person is injured, another person can stay with them while the third goes for help.
Make sure you're familiar with general park visitor information available on this site as well as specific details of the places you plan to visit.
