Bald Head Trail is closed for maintenance – spread the word!

The Bald Head Walk Trail is temporarily closed from Isthmas Hill point onwards for some much needed maintenance.

The Bald Head trail is a challenging 12.5km return trail traversing the ridge line of the peninsula which provides stunning views of the Southern Ocean around to King George Sound and the city of Albany.

The trail is temporarily closed from Isthmas Hill point onwards.

As there is no vehicle access on the trail, and to limit impacts to the surrounding environment, it will be necessary to use a helicopter to air lift some of the construction materials into the required work zones that are too heavy to carry by hand.

For your safety please follow all signage and instructions from Parks and Wildlife staff and work crews and be aware there will be a helicopter in use in the area.
