Beach Emergency Number Signs

Next time you are visiting the beach, take note of the Beach Emergency Number (BEN) signs.

BEN signs are being installed along the West Australian coast at beach access points. Some signs will also be located at harbours and estuaries, boat ramps, fishing platforms and jetties.

Using these signs you can guide emergency services to a specific location with the Beach Emergency Number on the signs.

Download the free Emergency + app before your visit which can be used in the event of any emergency to call for assistance. If there is no mobile phone coverage you WILL NOT be able to call 000 but the app will provide you with GPS location details.

It's free to download at Apple and Google Play.

For more information on Beach Emergency Signs visit the Shark Safe website.
