Meet the Aussie creatures of the night

Nestled in the heart of Dryandra Woodland National Park, on Wilman Country, lies the largest remnant of native vegetation in the western Wheatbelt. The park is home to a variety of trees, including jarrah, wandoo, and powderbark with areas of marri, mallee, and rock sheoak and it’s a special place to see nature at night.

As the sun goes down, nocturnal creatures emerge from their burrows and hiding spots in search of food. The best place to see this is in the Barna Mia Nocturnal Wildlife Experience.

This sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to observe threatened fauna species in their natural habitat.

Tours are held after dusk in the 4ha enclosure. Using special, red-filtered spotlights you’ll see bilbies, boodies, mala, woylies, quenda and possums, watch them feed in their habitat and learn about the threats and the conservation programs in place to protect them.
