Where to camp in small groups
Most campgrounds feature individual campsites separated by trees or other features. The sites are usually designed for one tent, caravan or camper trailer and one vehicle, or for one campervan. Small groups can camp in separate sites in the same campground.
Some campsites have a larger area suitable for more than one tent or swag and some have parking for more than one vehicle or a large vehicle.
Where booking is available, one person may not book more than one campsite. A group wishing to camp together must book their own individual campsites. Adjacent sites cannot be guaranteed.
Schools, clubs, events and larger groups
You may be required to apply for permission to camp (see 'conducting an event in a park'). Contact the regional office for the campground where you would like to stay to make an enquiry (contact details are included in the information for all campgrounds).
