Site access

The gorge lookout is located approximately 75m from the parking area. Access is via a winding gravel path with a series of 16 natural rock steps. The track gradients range from less than 1° to a maximum of 4.4°

The track surface has some eroded sections and loose stones and can be slippery underfoot. Access to the lookout is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. There is no lookout structure or safety railing at the main lookout. From the lookout, the trail descends into the gorge and allows visitors to access and explore an upstream waterfall and/or a rock archway downstream. The walk, is 3km (3 hours) return, and involves stream crossings and negotiating steep and uneven, rocky surfaces. These surfaces may be slippery.

Parking

There is no designated accessible parking. The one-way 250m long terminus loop gravel parking area has 10 vehicle bays. These are demarcated by metal bollards and wheel stops. There is also 1 long vehicle bay (14m by 4m).

While there are no designated accessible vehicle bays, there is ample set-down room, and parking space to accommodate visitors with disabilities.

Toilets

Toilets are available.
  • Wheelchair accessible

A firm, level, gravel surface provides access across open ground to the unisex toilets which are about 20m from the closest parking bay.

The unisex toilets are located approximately 20m from the nearest parking bay. Access is across open ground with a firm, level gravel surface (with an average gradient of 1° or less).
