Kogolup Lake consists of two wetlands that are surrounded by jarrah and banksia bushland.

Walk or cycle around the lagoon. Kent Street Weir has a cafe, toilets and plenty of places to enjoy a picnic. There are three walk trails that start from here. Three walk trails start here - Butterflies, Birds and Bridges Trail, Woodloes Walk Trail and Banksia Hill Loop. Check out the BMX track too. 

A large grassed area with a park bench faces the river with excellent views across to the Riverton Bridge.

Over 10,000 birds visit this internationally important wetland and nature reserve each year to feed before the lake dries out in the summer.

North Lake

North Lake has areas of banksia, jarrah and marri woodland, with waterfowl inhabiting the lake until it dries out each summer. Walk or cycle the path around the lake. 

This area of remnant bushland has informal trails around the perimeter that are used for horse riding.

Stop for a picnic at Lake Hayward.

This open area was originally used for horse racing in the 1920’s. There are many walking and cycling paths around the park.

Situated between Lakeside Drive and the Lake in an area of zamia, marri, tuarts and Jacksonia, this is Yellagonga's best scenic lookout point.
