A large campground in the forest with picnic shelters and a walk trail leading to the Murray River.

A gnarly combination of mountain bike trails and shared-use trails that provide awesome views of the river and dam and heaps of fun. 

You can see unrestricted views of the Walpole Wilderness from the Mount Frankland Wilderness Lookout, which is high above the forest floor.

Well-marked trails with informative interpretive signs provide an opportunity to get out of the car and explore this wildflower wonderland. A 50m return wheelchair accessible trail starts here.

Malus Island

Malus Island is one of a number of islands in the Dampier Archipelago that provides picnic areas for day visits and camping areas located in specially marked zones. You must be fully self-sufficient. 

Mermaid Reef

Mersey Point

The ferry for Penguin Island departs from Mersey Point hourly from October to June. Ferry tickets can be purchased at the nearby visitor centre. Do not walk across the sandbar to Penguin Island. Strong rips and currents can occur, water depth and conditions change rapidly. People have drowned attempting this crossing.
