Smiths Beach is a well known swimming, surfing and fishing location.

This delightful little beach is about 70m long and features large granite rocks that protrude from the water.

Walk across the weir, enjoy a picnic on the grass, purchase refreshments from the cafe, launch your canoe and so much more.

Mersey Point

The ferry for Penguin Island departs from Mersey Point hourly from October to June. Ferry tickets can be purchased at the nearby visitor centre. Do not walk across the sandbar to Penguin Island. Strong rips and currents can occur, water depth and conditions change rapidly. People have drowned attempting this crossing.

Mettam's Pool is a sheltered spot and perfect for snorkelling and swimming where you can see marine plants and animals close to shore.

Hillarys Boat Harbour

Hillarys Boat Harbour marina has a range of shops and food outlets, as well as fishing and diving supplies, public boat launching areas and you can book a whale watching tour.

Rosemary Island

Rosemary Island, in the Dampier Archipelago, is a great place for a day visit to snorkel, fish, wander along the beach and bird watch.

Python Pool is nestled into the Chichester Range at the base of a seasonal waterfall.
