Destination information
If you're in Perth, you don’t have to travel far to experience almost everything that the State has to offer. Most parks and attractions can be visited on a day basis and visitors can have a more in-depth experience by staying overnight in one of the many campsites.
You can scuba dive and snorkel in the Marmion Marine Park, visit the koalas at Yanchep National Park (and play nine holes on the historic golf course) or see the penguins at Penguin Island.
Drinking water is available in most of these parks, but visitors are encouraged to bring enough for their own use. Dogs are not permitted in the majority of the parks but you can search here to find where dogs are permitted.
If you are heading to Perth, be sure to visit one or all of these places in Destination Perth.

The parks remain open throughout the year but, it can be extremely hot from November to April and this is bushfire season: campfires are not permitted; parks, roads and recreation areas may have to be temporarily closed and events cancelled without notice. Go to the Bureau of Meteorology for more climate and weather information. Visit Park Alerts before you go to check for park, road, track and trail closures.
