Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail

This 28 kilometre one way trail is based on the movement of Yellagonga and his people between Lake Joondalup and Yanchep. It can be completed in sections. It extends from Neil Hawkins Park in the south to Yanchep National Park in the north, traversing tuart and banksia woodland, coastal heath and former wetlands.

Yanchep Rose Trail

This 14 kilometre loop trail starts at the McNess House Visitor Centre in Yanchep National Park. It takes you through the coastal plain vegetation, passing by historic bunkers and offering panoramic views from the sea to the scarp. The limestone outcrops punctuate the extensive wildflower displays in spring.  Kangaroo sightings are almost a certainty in the early morning and evening.

Yange Kep Bidi

The Yange Kep Bidi, (translation Wetland Trail) is a picturesque meander starting at Freshwater Bay on the Swan River foreshore.  This 21km bird lovers walking trail connects remnant bushland and significant wetlands including Perry Lakes, Lake Monger and Herdsman Lake.

Whistlepipe Gully

This reasonably easy 3.5km return walk in the Mundy Regional Park follows Whistlepipe Gully in the Perth Hills. The trail follows the narrow river as it courses over cascades and small waterfalls and offers views over the coastal plain to Perth.

Wiilman Bilya Trail

Welcome to the Wiilman Bilya, a dedicated Class 4, multiple day walking trail that takes you through magnificent yarri (blackbutt), marri and jarrah forest and around Wellington Reservoir.

Wildflower Walk Trail

The 4.6km Wildflower Walk Trail is located in John Forrest NP. This grade 3 trail is popular when the wildflowers are blooming, typically between August and November. Expect some short steep sections and slippery surfaces.

Waterous Trail

The Waterous Trail in the Lane Poole Reserve is a moderate 71 kilometre off-road cycling loop, primarily through Jarrah country, with two overnight options.

Wattle Walk

The Wattle Walk in Golden Valley Tree Park, Balingup, is at its best from mid winter and early spring when the yellow blossoms are out in profusion. By looking out for gold arrows, this short loop trail is easily followed. It is not a formed path, but its easy going.

West Mount Barren

Enjoy sensational views of the Fitzgerald River National Park and the Fitzgerald coast from West Mount Barren. This is a 1.7km return bushwalk and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

West Terrace Walk

West Terrace Walk is a four kilometre loop in the Mundy Regional Park.  With several steep climbs and descents a good level of fitness is recommended. It can be linked to several other trails for a longer, more challenging hike.

Western Australia Distillery Trail

The Western Australian Distillery Trail is a 4500km drive trail, stretching all the way from Esperance on the south coast to Kununurra in the far north of WA. Featuring 15 small batch distilleries, each with its own distinctive character and style, the trail passes through Albany, Margaret River, Swan Valley and Broome. Meet the makers and go behind the scenes to view the distillation process. Taste, touch, smell and hear the stories behind their unique flavours.

Wetlands Walk Trail, Yanchep NP

This two-kilometre loop trail is a relaxed, short, easy walk around the lake which is a dominant feature of Yanchep National Park.

Whale Lookout Walk Trail

This 2.4 kilometre Whale Lookout walk is the shortest and most popular trail from the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse .  The track takes you to a lookout over the cliffs and out to sea.  A spur boardwalk leads down to another lookout perched on the outer cliff top.

Walitj Meil Walk Trail

The Walitj Meil Walk trail is a Friends of the Porongurup Range initiative. It is an easy to moderate one kilometre loop walk from Castle Rock picnic area to a point providing scenic views across to the Stirling Ranges.

Wals Trail is 2 km of fast flowing turns and technical features, starting along Lennard Rd, in the Mt Lennard Trail Network, Wellington NP. Wals is currently the only black trail at Mt Lennard.

Wanamalu Trail

Located between Skipjack Point and Cape Peron in Francois Peron National Park this 3.6km return walk offers excellent views of the area’s abundant marine life from the cliff top. Striking red sand cliffs provide great photographic opportunities.

Wandoo Night Walk

A short night walk with markers that reflect torchlight. Look for nocturnal animals such as woylies, tammar wallabies, brushtail possums, tawny frog-mouths and owls among the wandoo trees and heath vegetation.
