Bush Walk
3.4 kilometres

This 3.4 km trail is the most westerly loop of the Cape Naturaliste Walk Trail Network, taking you nearly all the way to the tip of the cape with spectacular views along the way.

The Cape to Cape Track runs for 130 km along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, between the lighthouses of Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin in south west. It features spectacular coastal and forest scenery, a fascinating geology of cliffs, caves, headlands and rock formations and an ever-changing display of vegetation and wildflowers.

Starting at Dawn Creek Road and finishing 105 kilometres later at the Quindanning Hotel, the Captain Fawcett 4WD Track showcases some of Western Australia’s best jarrah forests, historic farmhouses, original trestle bridges and magnificent views.

One of the most stunning trails in the Canning River Regional Park, this four kilometre dual use trail will take you over sedge meadows, through mature woodlands, over creeks and amongst the crowns of a paperbark forest.

1.6 kilometres

The Caldyanup Trail is a moderate 1.6 kilometre loop trail around the base of the granite mass in Mount Frankland National Park near Walpole.  This lovely trail winds through one of the best granite and karri areas in Australia’s South West.

A real favourite for those who just like to ride trails. Definitely one way with lots of fast traffic heading east with berm after berm, some small jumps and a few rocks to keep it interesting.

One of the few dual directional trails in the network. A good leg warm up if you’ve started from the Camel Farm and are heading over to Flaccid Ashback or a last hurrah making a quick dash back to the car.

Circumnavigate the Shannon campground on this easy 4.5km loop through the forest.  The trails follows old railway formations and forestry tracks and is suitable for bikes and walkers.

8 kilometres

An interesting 8km return paddle exploring a birdlife sanctuary on the upper Canning River. Narrow waterways and dead ends, mud banks, fish and, of course, all sorts of birds.

This 3.4 kilometre length of the Cape to Cape track is wheelchair and pram accessible and provides stunning coastal views between Cape Naturaliste and Sugarloaf rock.

Paddle

Bundegi Sanctuary Zone Kayak Trail is one of four trails at Ningaloo with designated buoys for kayaks to tie off on while snorkelling the reef. Each buoy is located near a particular feature of the reef system.  This is the only kayak trail site on the Exmouth Gulf side of the cape. Plan your trip around the high tide.  On this trail in the later part of the Ningaloo season (August - September), paddlers may encounter humpback whales and manta rays in the Exmouth Gulf.

This 3.2km bridle trail in Bungendore Park leads through an area of natural Jarrah-Marri bushland. This park has a wide variety of flora and fauna, including endangered species of cockatoo, including Baudin’s, Forest Red-Tailed Black, and Carnaby’s.

Moderate trail that may have short steep hills, rough surface, many steps or some rock hopping. Directional signage. Some bushwalking experience and moderate fitness required.

The Blue Wren Ramble is a fairly easy 1.4 kilometre one way walk that follows Ellis Brook. It passes through Wandoo Woodland, a prime nesting and feeding area for birds. Dense thickets along the banks of the Brook provide a cool, shaded walk.
