Places to visit in WA parks

Following wet season rains, great volumes of water cascade from the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges. In the dry season, come and see the spectacular cascading waterfalls at Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) which is also a relaxing place to swim.

Imperieuse Reef, 42km from Clerke Reef, is the largest and most south-westerly reef of the Rowley Shoals Marine Park.

The outside walls of this remote coral atoll offer outstanding diving, or you can snorkel in the shallow, coral filled lagoon brimming with colourful tropical fish.

Follow the trail to see incredible rock engravings (petroglyphs), grinding stones, shell middens and learn the story of the Ngarda-Ngarli.

The Lefroy Brook at Cascades changes from a gentle flow in the summer to a raging torrent in the winter.

The Gloucester Tree is currently closed.

A short trail leads to a rock wall with Aboriginal engravings called petroglyphs.

You can see unrestricted views of the Walpole Wilderness from the Mount Frankland Wilderness Lookout, which is high above the forest floor.

A well developed network of walk trails and shared paths provide access to many of the parks most enjoyable settings.

This open area was originally used for horse racing in the 1920’s. There are many walking and cycling paths around the park. 

The magnificent Mitchell Falls, or Punamii-unpuu, is an iconic Kimberley landmark and a place of cultural and spiritual significance for the Wunambal people.

Little Mertens Falls form a thundering curtain of water over rugged sandstone walls surrounding a beautiful pool.
