A large campground in the forest with picnic shelters and a walk trail leading to the Murray River.

A gnarly combination of mountain bike trails and shared-use trails that provide awesome views of the river and dam and heaps of fun. 

You can see unrestricted views of the Walpole Wilderness from the Mount Frankland Wilderness Lookout, which is high above the forest floor.

Mitchell Plateau Airstrip

Mitchell Plateau airstrip is located approximately 17km from the Mitchell Falls Campground.

North Lake

North Lake has areas of banksia, jarrah and marri woodland, with waterfowl inhabiting the lake until it dries out each summer. Walk or cycle the path around the lake. 

North Lump

Dive this submerged reef in eight metres of water with interesting arches, caves and tunnels and excellent invertebrate life. This reef is in a sanctuary zone within Marmion Marine Park. Look but don’t touch fish and other marine animals. All marine life in sanctuary zones is protected. 

Northern Lookout

Check out the views from the northern summit of Penguin Island.

Parry Lagoons Information Bay

Parry Lagoons is accessed by an unsealed track leading from the Great Northern Highway, 15km south of Wyndham and 85km north west of Kununurra. There is an information board 1km from the highway.

Quoin Bluff South

Quoin Bluff South is the place where you will find the remains of an army outpost, a stone jetty and other relics. There are no facilities available here.

Rosemary Island

Rosemary Island, in the Dampier Archipelago, is a great place for a day visit to snorkel, fish, wander along the beach and bird watch.

Shoal Cape

An attractive fishing and snorkelling spot only accessible by high clearance, four-wheel drive vehicles. Fires are not permitted.

Twinems Bend on the Blackwood River is a small beach, popular with local water skiers.

Snake Gully Lookout

Stop to listen to the birds and take in a beautiful Karri Forest view

Get a birds eye view of Penguin Island and the other islands nearby.

Stirling Range Entry Station

The Stirling Range Entry Station is located just off Chester Pass Road on Bluff Knoll Road. Stop here to pay your park entry fees. The registration point for bushwalkers and climbers is a short walk away on the other side of the road.
